Can you use Suno offline?
Partly — and the distinction matters. You cannot generate new songs on Suno without internet, because generation happens on Suno's servers. But you can browse, search and organize your entire existing library offline, and you can play any song you've downloaded with no connection at all. Suno Explorer is what makes that possible.
In one sentence: install Suno Explorer, index your library once while online, download the audio you want, and from then on your music is available offline.
The problem: Suno requires internet
Out of the box, everything on Suno is online-only. There's no offline mode, no local library, and no bulk download — so a flaky connection, a flight, or a commute means you can't reach your own music. For a tool you use to build a serious catalogue, that's a real limitation.
How offline mode works in Suno Explorer
Suno Explorer creates a local copy of your library in two layers:
- The index — titles, lyrics, style prompts, tags, model versions and song lineage — is stored locally in your browser. This is what lets you browse and search instantly, offline.
- The audio — any track you bulk-download is saved to your computer and plays straight from disk.
Power users can go further with Offline Mode, which scans local backup folders on disk and reconciles them against your live Suno library.
What "offline" actually means
This is the part most tools gloss over. With Suno Explorer:
- Library browsing is always offline once you've indexed — search, filter, lineage and insights all work with no connection.
- Downloaded audio plays offline. Songs you've saved to disk need nothing from the internet.
- Non-downloaded audio streams from Suno's CDN when you're online — so download the tracks you want available everywhere.
How to set up offline access
- Install Suno Explorer from the Chrome Web Store — free, no signup.
- Connect on suno.com while logged in.
- Index your library so the full catalogue is stored locally.
- Download the audio you want available offline (or your whole library).
- Go offline — browse, search and play your downloaded songs anywhere.
Download Suno songs for offline listening
The bulk download saves full-quality audio for every song, organized by song with lyrics and metadata kept alongside. That same download doubles as your Suno backup — one action protects your library and makes it portable. Copy the files to a phone, a second computer, or an external drive and your music goes with you.
Offline on mobile and tablet
The companion web app, Explorer Go, brings your library to phones and tablets. Import your library and browse it without a connection; streaming any track you haven't downloaded still needs internet.
